West of Orkney Windfarm

As part of our mission to deliver a world-leading offshore wind farm, we are keen to communicate openly with communities across the north of Scotland and offer multiple opportunities for us to meet and hear your views.

We've already attended a number of local events including the Durness Gathering, the Halkirk Games, the Dounby Show and the Orkney County Show.  It was great to meet so many local residents and visitors alike and to hear your views on the project.

In November we'll commence the first in a series of local pre-application consultation events where everyone is welcome to come along and find out more about the West of Orkney Windfarm.

We’d like to encourage as many people as possible to attend their local event, where they will get a chance to meet the development team, ask questions and offer feedback.

The dates and venues are as follows:

We would also like to receive your feedback, which we will use to inform the development of the West of Orkney Windfarm.

To help us, we have developed a short community questionnaire as one way for you to express your opinion about the project. Every person who completes a questionnaire will be entered into a monthly prize draw to win a £50 voucher.      (Contact details provided for the prize draw will only be retained for that purpose and will be deleted thereafter.)

The questionnaire can be accessed here.

In addition, we have developped a virtual public exhibition which remains open and can be accessed here.

Please note: as a planning application has not yet been submitted, written comments submitted on this questionnaire will be received by West of Orkney Windfarm only. Representations to Marine Scotland and the local planning authorities can be made when a formal planning application is made.
